Studying Rightly

Hello guys,

2Timothy 2:15
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Did you know that for years I have read this chapter and only related it to spiritual things?

I took it to mean that by studying God's word and the life of heroes of faith I do prove my love for God, and I was right.

It's just that this passage meant a lot more than just studying Spiritual stuff, the truth is that it applies to every part of our lives, spiritual, intellectual, academic, marital, psychological, and even physical aspects.

Putting it simply if people see that you have more knowledge or wisdom on all subject matters they respect you and admire you for it and they are already respecting and admiring God your maker indirectly.

They will try to find the source of your unique depth of knowledge, wisdom, charisma or whatever it is they find attractive about you at that point you can easily tell them it's all about the Lord God Almighty and even wins them over to the faith.

Look at Daniel, all the pagan kings respected God because of the excellence they saw in Daniel the same goes for all the heroes of faith people came to respect God cos of how excellent those guys were.

It is the same for us as you improve yourself and become the best of the best you will be indirectly lifting Jesus for the world to see and thus you would be fulfilling the mission of preaching the gospel by doing it with your very life.

*Here's another rendition of today's passage*

Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.

So as you continue your life remember to work hard at anything you find to do so that God can be proud of you.

See you later.
